To provide an automatic water level control apparatus for a water storage tank that can prevent chattering and can be operated mechanically.
The automatic water level control apparatus 4 comprises a feed valve 10, a piston pump 20 and a pilot valve 30. The feed valve 10 comprises a float valve, and closes a feed pipe 2 of a water storage tank 1 when the water level of the water storage tank 1 reaches a first set water level L1. The piston pump 20 discharges suction water W1 in a cylinder 22 via a discharge pipe 23 of the cylinder 22 by a discharge action of a piston 21. The pilot valve 30 closes the discharge pipe 23 when the water level of the water storage tank 1 reaches a second set water level L2 lower than the first set water level L1. The piston 21 of the piston pump 20 is coupled to the feed valve 10 via a piston rod 25 so that the piston 21 makes a suction action and a discharge action respectively with rising and lowering motion of a float 14 of the feed valve 10.
