Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic watering type planter unnecessitating worry over the exudation of water from the bottom of the planter, difficult to cause the generation of root rot due to the excessive supply of water, and no blighting a plant, even when the water is not periodically supplied.
SOLUTION: This automatic watering type planter comprises a planter 1 in which soil 2 is charged to culture a plant, a porous pipe 3 which is horizontally embedded in the bottom part of the container of the planter 1 and whose one end is closed, a water tank 9 disposed at a lower place than the planter 1, and a siphon pipe style water supply pump 6 equipped with a check-valve and used for allowing the opened end side of a porous pipe 3 to communicate with the bottom part of the water tank. Therein, the siphon pipe part of the water supply pump 6 and the check-valve 7 are arranged at higher positions than the porous pipe 3 embedded in the planter 1.
