Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To wind threads automatically without necessitating time and labor by winding a thread of a thread supply bobbin around a winding pipe, catching the thread of the thread supply bobbin to mount it on the winding pipe supported on a winding pipe support member of a winding unit, and selecting a winding start mode for starting the winding automatically.
SOLUTION: When a winding start mode is selected, a new thread supply bobbin 4 is supplied to an automatic winder 1, and then a thread end of the supplied thread supply bobbin 4 is caught by a yarn trap 17. Next, a doffing demand lamp LP is lit, a doffing device 3 arrives at a winding unit 2 in which the lamp LP is lit, and an empty winding pipe 5 is supplied to a cradle 6 and the thread end of the thread supply bobbin 4 is mounted on a winding pipe 5 by the doffing device 3. A unit control part 9 controls a drive motor 10 which rotates forward and reversely based on turning ON/OFF of a winding switch means 51 and a splicer monitor mode of a controller to rotate a drum 7 so as to start the winding automatically.
