Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide an automatic winder capable of changing, depending on a situation, the motion of suctioning means for guiding a yarn suctioned from a yarn- supplying bobbin to a piecing apparatus and to provide a faulty yarn-removing method capable of performing an effective removal of the faulty yarn by the operation of a suctioning means suitable for the various situations in the automatic winder.
CONSTITUTION: This automatic winder is provided with a suctioning means 14 for suctioning a yarn wound on a yarn-supplying bobbin and guiding to a piecing apparatus. The automatic winder is provided with means 4, 16, 17 for changing the motion of a suctioning means 14 depending on a situation, in which the suctioning means 14 is allowed to stop at a catching position for the end of the supplied yarn. Further, the method for removing a faulty yarn in the automatic winder works as follows: in the case where the number of faulty spots every specified yarn length is over a specified number, a suctioning means is allowed to stop at the catching position for the end of the supplied yarn for a longer time than the case where the number of faulty spots is below the specified number, and accordingly a part or all of the yarn wound on the yarn-supplying bobbin is removed by suction during the set time.
