PURPOSE: To surely shift a pin having a large head part in an automatic aligning and storing apparatus for header reeds of resistors or the like, by electromagnetically conveying pin-like articles from a hopper feeder to a rotary hopper by way of a swingable feeder and an aligning and conveying feeder so as to store the pin-like articles one by one into storage box parts in a vibrating grille type storage housing.
CONSTITUTION: Pin-like articles introduced into a hopper feeder 1 are then electromagnetically transferred to a swingable feeder while their extending directions being put in order. The swingably feeder 2 distributes the articles among grooves 5a through 5e in an aligning and conveying feeder 5 through the electromagnetic conveyance and its swing motion. Further, the articles on the conveying feeder 5 are fed onto a rotary type hopper 6 by way of the guide grooves 5a through 5e under electromagnetic conveyance, and accordingly, the pin-like articles are stored in receivers 6b by a predetermined number. Then, they are charged by a unit of one row into each of box parts in a grille storage section of a pin-like article storage housing 7. The storage housing 7 moves relatively, for each row. With this arrangement even an article having a large head part can be smoothly and surely stored.
