PURPOSE: To provide an automobile capable of easily installing a reinforcing member on it, simplifying assembly and disassembly of a propeller shaft and supporting a link of a wheel suspension device at a correct position even when force works on a wheel.

CONSTITUTION: Another longitudinal direction member of a vehicle front part and/or a vehicle rear part connected to longitudinal direction members 1, 2 on sideway outsides in a range of a passenger room is connected to an automobile. An element to reinforce a car body is furnished with a first V-shaped reinforcing material 6. The first reinforcing material extends in a vehicle longitudinal direction on a roughly horizontal flat surface and is connected to a vertical second V-shaped reinforcing material 7. A free end part 10 of the first reinforcing material is fixed on the longitudinal direction member. The first V-shaped reinforcing material 6 includes individual reinforcing members 8, 9 respectively made of two parts, and mating end parts of these parts are held by a U-shaped supporting member 16 extending in the vehicle longitudinal direction.
