Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prepare a Cu-containing automotive aluminum alloy sheet improved in filiform erosion resistance while maintaining its high formability and to provide its producing method.
SOLUTION: This automotive aluminum alloy sheet is composed of an aluminum alloy containing, by mass, 0.8 to 1.5% Si, 0.4 to 0.7% Mg and 0.5 to 0.8% Cu, in which crystal grain size is 10 to 40 μm, and the content of Cu in the case the outermost surface containing an oxidized film is analyzed by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS) is 1/10 to 1/2 of the above Cu content in the aluminum alloy.
