In this electric motor control system, a positioning control system is configured by use of positional information about a position of a movable part of a positioning device or a rotation position of an electric motor 17, to the control target having the vibration of a machine base 15 mounted with the positioning device driven by the electric motor 17. The position command parameter or the parameters of both the position command and the compensator (1) satisfying positioning specifications, (2) considering a control target related to machine base vibration suppression , and (3) considering even safety in operation, with respect to a specific movement distance or a plurality of movement distances of the movable part, are autonomously designed by use of genetic algorithm.
