Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an autonomous floor-cleaning robot capable of detecting a situation in which the robot is placed, and coping with the detected situation autonomously.SOLUTION: An autonomous floor-cleaning robot comprises: a housing; a chassis; plural wheels which are coupled to the chassis via corresponding arms respectively, and which are configured to move a robot on a floor surface; a motor for driving the plural wheels; a control part for controlling movement of the robot on the floor surface; a sensor for detecting an obstacle and transmitting obstacle information to the control part; a dust container; and a first rotation member which directs particles to the dust container. The plural wheels are rotatably coupled to tip ends of corresponding arms respectively, and a proximal end of the arm is rotatably coupled to the chassis. The plural wheels are energized to extended positions separated from the chassis respectively, by a spring extending between the arm and the chassis, and during cleaning, weight of the robot overcomes force exerted by the spring for energizing plural wheels to the extension positions respectively.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
