Title:
AUXILIARIES MOUNTING STRUCTURE FOR ENGINE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3053952
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To compactly dispose auxiliaries of an engine in an oil pan section and particularly correct the eccentricity of weight by the weight of auxiliaries when the engine has a slant structure.
CONSTITUTION: An oil pan 4 integral with the lower portion of an engine 1 and a transmission provided in parallel to each other is provided to have the length shorter than that of a block of the engine 1 so that auxiliaries such as a water pump 13 and oil filter 24 are disposed in a recess formed thereby at the front end side. The water pump 13 is adapted to be driven by an auxiliary machinery driven shaft 10 extending through the oil pan 4. An oil pump 14 for lubricating the engine is connected to a position adjacent to the water pump 13 inside the oil pan 4. Also, an oil pump 11 or power steering pump 12 for an automatic transmission is connected to the other end of the shaft 10. The respective auxiliaries are located in the opposite side to the slant direction of the engine 1.
