To provide an auxiliary doctor and a doctor device, which can be used in a photogravure printing machine, and which can prevent ink from scattering from a part of contact between an edge of a printing plate cylinder and a furnisher roll, and parts of contact between a doctor and both the edges of the printing plate cylinder.
The doctor device comprises: the two auxiliary doctors which are equipped with an auxiliary doctor holder, a narrow auxiliary doctor blade brought into sliding contact with a side end of an outer peripheral surface of the printing plate cylinder, and a flexible plate-like body brought into sliding contact with a side surface of the printing plate cylinder; and a doctor which comprises a doctor holder and a doctor blade attached to the doctor holder, and which is brought into sliding contact with the outer peripheral surface of the printing plate cylinder. In the doctor device, the auxiliary doctors are each attached to both the side ends of the printing plate cylinder so as to be positioned in the rear in the rotative direction of the printing plate cylinder with respect to the doctors at both the side ends of the printing plate cylinder.
