Abstract:
To provide an auxiliary propeller for a ship departure that does not require a large-sized tugboat to push/pull a ship and that protects a screw propeller from entanglement of aquatic plants and debris.SOLUTION: A rotatable propulsion housing 18 is installed on the bottom face of a mounting base 24 that can be fixedly attached to the bottom of the hull, a propulsion mechanism 81 capable of propelling the hull is installed on the bottom face of the propulsion housing, and a rotating mechanism 80 capable of controlling the propulsion direction and of rotating is installed between the propulsion housing and the mounting base. A screw propeller 43 is attached in the propulsion mechanism, and a protective cover 35 to protect the screw propeller is attached in the propulsion housing so that it is symmetrical at front-back and slidable. A supporting mechanism 82 capable of supporting the mounting base and the hull is installed in the propulsion housing. The supporting mechanism includes a supporting rod 16, and rotatable moving wheels 12 and slide plates 10 are attached to the supporting rod.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
