To provide an axle drive capable of attaining size reduction and easy parts control by disposing a hydraulic continuous transmission mechanism in a housing, extending a hydraulic pump input shaft of the hydraulic continuous transmission mechanism to the outside of the housing, inputting the output of a hydraulic motor of the hydraulic continuous transmission mechanism to the axles of driving wheels, and driving right and left axles by the common drive.

Part of the hydraulic pump 52 of a hydraulic transmission is positioned on the axle 20 side rather than the external diameter of a gear 75 fitted in the axle 20 to constitute two axle support parts (80, 80) at the housing 40 of the axle driving device. The gear 75 fitted in the axle 20 is positioned at the middle position of the two axle support parts (80, 80), and the axle 20 is supported by either of the axle support parts. The axle 20 is also supported by an edge part of the housing 40 on the opposite side through the gear 75 fitted in the axle 20.
