Abstract:
To provide an axle housing which enables reduction of the number of components while inhibiting melting of components when a differential housing body and a tube are welded.SOLUTION: An axle housing 6 of the invention has: an axle housing body 8; and collar members 48 disposed at the inner side of the axle housing body 8. The collar member 48 includes a collar cylindrical part 48a and an extension part 48c. The collar cylindrical part 48a and the extension part 48c are integrally formed. The axle housing body 8 is formed by joining a differential housing 27 and a tube 29 by welding. The collar member 48 is disposed so that the collar cylindrical part 48a is spanned between the tube 29 and a connection part 33b.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
