Abstract:

PURPOSE: To offset equalizing movement of a suspension to detect only a deflection quantity of a spring by a method wherein a lever ratio from a rear axle to a movable fulcrum of a front lever is set to a specific value.
CONSTITUTION: A microcomputer 17 operates an axle weight by taking axle weight information of a truck 30, i.e., an output voltage varied by a rotational displacement which is obtained by a suspension stroke sensor 11. The operated value is indicated on an indicator. In an axle weight detecting device 10, a lever ratio from a rear front axle 33 to the sensor 11 and a lever ratio from a rear axle 34 to a movable fulcrum 21 of a front lever 15 are set to be equalized with each other. Then, equalizing movement of a tandem axle trunnion type rear suspension 35 is offset so that only a deflection quantity of a spring is detected. As a result, an axle weight of a two rear axle-vehicle utilizing the above type of suspension 35 is accurately detected so that a loading condition of the two rear axle-vehicle can be accurately grasped.
