Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain the title compsn. which is nonflammable and is easy in handling, by mixing 1,2-dichloro-1,1-difluoroethane, 1,1,2-trichloro-1,2,2- trifluoroethane and ethanol together.

CONSTITUTION: 36.9wt.% 1,2-dichloro-1,1-difluoroethane, 60.3wt.% 1,1,2- trichloro-1,2,2-trifluoroethane and 2.8wt.% methanol are mixed together and, according to necessity, 0.1W10wt.% stabilizer (e.g., nitromethane) is added to the mixture.
