NEW MATERIAL: A compd. of formula I [A, A' are each C(=O)-O-R, C(=O)OH, C(=O)-NRR', (CH2)nOH, C(OR)2H (R, R' are each H, a lower alkyl, benzyl, an amino acid; (n) is 1 to 6); X is H, an acyl, benzyl] and its salts.
USE: A medicinal compsn. for treating memory disorder and learning disorder as well as the functional insufficiency of excitatory amino acid receptor in mammals including human.
PROCESS: For example, a compd. of formula II or formula III is brought into reaction with benzyl alcohol and a lower alcohol to obtain a compd. of formula IV (R1, R2 are benzyl, analkyl) and the compd. is bought into reaction with benzyl amine, by which compds. of formula V and formula VI are obtd. A cis isomer and trans isomer are then separated and the respective isomers are subjected respectively to N-debenzylidation, by which compds. of formula VII and formula VIII are obtd.
