PURPOSE: To obtain an azulene-containing liquid formulation, by blending a liquid formulation containing azulene compound with a hydrogencarbonate and using an alcohol in a specific concentration as a solvent to stabilize the azulele compound and capable of exhibiting improved stability even by preservation under severe condition for a long period.
CONSTITUTION: An azulene-containing liquid formulation, obtained by blending 0.0001W5.0wt.% hydrogen carbonate with a liquid formulation containing an azulene compound, e.g. guaiazulene or sodium guaiazulenesulfonate, etc., in an amount of 0.001W1.0wt.% based on the total weight of the composition and using an alcohol is 30W100wt.% concentration as a solvent and preferably further blending a quaternary ammonium salt, particularly cetylpyridinium chloride, benzethonium chloride or/and benzalkonium chloride in an amount of 0.001W5.0wt.% based on the total weight to improve light and heat resistance of the azulene compound and having ≥90% residual ratio of the azulene com pound even after preserving, e.g. at 40°C for ≥6 months.
