Abstract:
To provide a thin backlight device, and a display device.
A display device includes one or a plurality of light sources, a display panel, a first optical element, and a second optical element. The display panel is arranged in opposition to the light source(s). The first optical element is arranged between the light source and the display panel, and diffuses and transmits part of light irradiated from the light source to the display panel, and reflects part of the light. The second optical element is arranged between the light source and the first optical element, and transmits the light irradiated from the light source, and reflects the light reflected from the first optical element.
