BACKUP METHOD FOR VOLATILE MEMORY

PURPOSE:To easily make correspondence to the increase/decrease of memory capacity by using any one of a battery loading substrate and a memory substrate, which loads a battery, at least based on the memory capacity to be required for a system. CONSTITUTION:A system battery substrate 10 using a battery select substrate 9 is equipped with an Ni-Bd battery 3 and a bus connector 4 similarly to the battery select substrate 9. A memory substrate 11 with system battery using the battery select substrate 9 is equipped with the volatile memory 5 further. When no more additional memory is required except for a memory loaded onto a main cpu substrate 12, a system battery substrate 10 is prepared and the memory on the cpu substrate 12 is backed up through a battery supply line 8. When the additional memory is required, the memory substrate 11 with system battery is prepared. Further, when the memory capacity is increased, it is made correspondent by increasing a memory substrate 6. Thus, the correspondence can be easily made to the increase of the memory capacity.
