To solve the problems that a congestion is increased and much trouble occurs when a clerk performs a packing work at a cash desk as a service since the work for taking out merchandises from a basket and packing them in a plastic bag is troublesome and takes much time, and that it is difficult and very troublesome for a customer to do the packing work while keeping the opening state of the bag even when the customer performs the packing work him/herself.
A bag holder is constituted as follows. A pair of supporters, which are opposed and same in shape, are erected and fixed to both the rear end corners of a plate-like board. The upper ends of the respective supporters are bent forward substantially at a right angle so as to form support rods. The front end of each support rod is directed backward in an arcuate shape, and bent not to be in parallel with the support rod. The rear end is bent partially along the supporter, the lower end is bent forward, and the distal end is fixed to the side edge of the board. Lock bodies, whose upper ends are opened outward, are integrally arranged on the outer side surfaces of the support rods.
