To prevent erroneous setting in association of packaging conditions by a packaging machine with print information of a printer to be specified while being associated with each other in a system including the packaging machine for sealing an end of a film and the printer for printing on the film.
A longitudinal pillow packaging machine is used as a bag- making packaging machine 200, a printer 40 and a print roller are provided on a supply path of a film, and a packaging controller 20 and a printer controller 30 are connected respectively with the bag-making packaging machine 200 and the printer 40. Then a CPU 21 of the packaging controller 20 is used to cause the machine 200 to package an article based on packaging conditions read from a packaging condition storage part 24. In addition, information for associating the packaging conditions by the bag-making packaging machine 200 with print information of the printer 40 is stored in an association information storage 25 and is read out, thereby eliminating need for setting the printer controller 30 for subsequent operation and also preventing errors in setting.
