To provide a bag making and packaging machine with which a film roll can be easily mounted and replaced, and which can prevent a film from meandering in a widthwise direction and does not require a large installation space.
A support shaft 3 is provided to be rotatable between a direction parallel to an installation surface of the bag making and packaging machine 1000 and a direction vertical thereto by a supporting mechanism. While the support shaft 3 is in a state of the direction parallel to the installation surface, a core of the film roll 1 is passed over the shaft 3 and inserted until one of end faces of the roll 1 comes into contact with a roll stopper 4. The core of the film roll 1 is further engaged with three stoppers 5, thereby fixing the roll 1 to the support shaft 3. After the roll 1 is fixed to the shaft 3, the support shaft 3 is rotated to the position vertical to the installation surface and fixed there.
