PURPOSE: To house a baggage carrying device in a dead space under a hand rail of a stairs when it is not used by supporting a frame, which supports a conveyor belt through rollers, freely to be moved along a rail through rolling members and sliding members or the like.
CONSTITUTION: Plural rails 4 are horizontally laid on the upper and lower floors F and steps of a stairs in right and left direction. A sliding member 5 is arranged in the rail 4, and a rolling member 6 is arranged in the sliding member 5 with a space corresponding to the length of the rail 4. Furthermore, a frame 3 is supported by the sliding members 5 and the rolling members 6. On the other hand, a conveyor kit 8 to be driven by a motor 11 is stretched over them. Namely, a baggage carrying device can be moved along the rails 4 in the direction crossing the carrying direction. When the baggage carrying device is not used, it can be housed in a dead space under the hand rail of the stairs.
