Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a baking curing type coating composition insoluble in an organic solvent, having a high curing rate, providing a coating film having excellent scratching resistance, comprising a specific (meth)acrylic monomer, a polyisocyanate compound, a polyol and a radical polymerization initiator.
CONSTITUTION: This composition comprises (A) a (meth)acrylic monomer containing a tertiary amino group and a hydroxyl group, (B) a polyisocyanate compound, (C) a polyol, (D) a radical polymerization initiator (e.g. dibenzoyl peroxide) and optionally a pigment. An addition product of a compound containing a primary or a secondary amino group with glycidyl (meth)acrylate is preferable as the component A. Aniline is preferable as the compound containing a primary or a secondary amino group. Further, an aromatic polyisocyanate is preferable as the component C in terms of physical properties of coating film and reactivity. Since an aliphatic polyisocyanate has excellent light resistance, the composition is suitable in the case of a coating compound for coating a member for an outdoor use.
