Abstract:

PURPOSE: To produce a baking hardening type thin steel sheet having baking hardenability and furthermore having excellent formability of high γ value.
CONSTITUTION: A steel slab having a compsn. contg., by weight, ≤0.0015% C, ≤0.1% Si, ≤0.5% Mn, ≤0.5% Al, ≤0.08% P, 0.01% S, 0.005% N, 0.03% Nb and 0.0001 to 0.0050%B, in which the Nb, C, B and N are contained also so as to satysfy the relationships of 1≤Nb (wt.%)/C (wt.%)≤30 and N (wt.%)-(14/11)B (wt.%)≤0.001 (wt.%), and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities is held under soaking in the temp. range of 1050 to 1300°C. After that, hot rolling is finished at the Ar3 transformation point or above, and it is coiled at ≤800°C, is successively subjected to cold rolling at 65 to 90% draft and is subjected to recrystallization annealing in the temp. range of 700 to 950°C.
