Abstract:
To reduce the weight of a balancer housing and maintain support rigidity of a balance shaft.SOLUTION: A balancer housing 15 protects a balance shaft 13 disposed below a crank shaft 12 and includes: a base part 21; a hole part 22 which is provided at the base part 21 and into which the balance shaft 13 may be inserted; and fastening surfaces 24 which are fastened to a baring 14 of the crank shaft at an upper part of the base part 21. Lightening parts 23, at which a weight of part of the base part 21 is reduced, are formed below paths each connecting the fastening surface 24 with an axis of the balance shaft 13 inserted into the hole part 22.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
