PURPOSE: To readily and safely handle a bale and to prevent a bale lapper from breaking down, by raising a bale from the bottom by left and right two rolls rotatable on their own axes and widening the left and the right rolls to lower the bale.

CONSTITUTION: Forks 31 and 32 are externally engaged through bearings with rolls 41 and 42 rotatably on their own axes, the rolls 41 and 42 are introduced into both sides of the lower half part of a bale, the distance between the rolls 41 and 42 is narrowed by a hydraulic means and an arm of a front loader is lifted up to raise the bale. When the bale is lowered and laid, the left and the right rolls 41 and 42 are widened by the hydraulic means and a tractor is retreated.
