The ball paddle game device 10 includes a game machine 12 connected to a television monitor 18, and the game machine 12 includes paddle keys 28a-28d. The paddles are displayed on the moving paths, and when the paddle key 28 is pressed, the corresponding paddle strikes the ball. Coincidence in timings of operation of the paddle key 28 and movement of the ball results in a success, and anti-coincidence results in a failure. When the paddle key 28 is operated at the timing not related to the fall of the ball, the subsequent movement of the paddle becomes slow.
