Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase load capacity by size increase of ball diameter or increase of the number of threads by preventing a notch of a nut from interfering with an adjacent screw groove even in a case of the screw groove of a small lead screw or a multiple-thread screw.
SOLUTION: In this ball screw device 10, a circulating top 18 forming a circulating passage 21 of a ball 15 for communicating the notch 17, the gap between both screw grooves 11 and 13, and a ball return passage 16 is engaged with the notch 17 formed at the end of the nut 14. Many balls 15 are infinitely circulated in the gap between both screw grooves 11 and 13, the circulating passage 21, and the ball return passage 16. The surface of the notch 17 directing in the axial direction is defined as a ball running surface 23, a ball circulating groove 20 is formed at a part of the circulating piece 18 facing the ball running surface 23, and the ball circulating passage 21 is formed of the ball circulating groove 20 and the ball running surface 23.
