Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the surface of a ball even without projections and depressions.SOLUTION: A junction 10 is formed by joining with a sewing thread 9 of a plurality of carcass pieces 6 formed of a woven fabric piece 7 and a cushioning piece 8 provided on a bladder side of the woven fabric piece 7. The junction 10 is folded back to another carcass piece 6, and a portion of the other carcass piece 6 which is located in a skin 4 side and is turned to be double is piled with a portion of another carcass piece 6 which is located in a side of the bladder 2 and is flat. When the folded back junction 10 is pushed outward by the bladder 2 with an internal space 5 into which compressed air is injected, so as to make the folded back junction 10 as thick as the other portions of the carcass piece 6, the cushioning piece 8 in the junction 10 is compressed between the outermost woven fabric piece 7 of the carcass piece 6 contacting the skin 4 and the bladder 2 to cause the bladder 2 to contact the cushioning piece 8 of the carcass piece 6 without causing the junction 10 to push the skin 4 outward, thus making the surface of the ball 1 smooth without projections and depressions.
