Abstract:
To provide a ballast water treatment device that electrolyzes ballast water to kill microorganisms, and safely treats generated hydrogen gas.SOLUTION: There is provided a ballast water treatment device, including: an electrolytic cell that has a ballast water inlet, a ballast water outlet, and a hydrogen gas exhaust port, and electrodes arranged inside; a diluting unit provided in a middle of a hydrogen gas exhaust pipe connected to the hydrogen gas exhaust port; a blower that sends air to the diluting unit; and a water seal unit between the blower and the diluting unit. Since there is a one-way street between the blower and the diluting unit, there is no need to worry about an explosion caused by hydrogen gas.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
