PURPOSE: To increase the direct hitting range of an air frame against a ballistic missile and improve the destructive performance by a method wherein arms are opened at nearly the right angle to the flight direction just before the air frame encounters the ballistic missile that comes flying and provided with branch parts that are at almost the right angle to the arms when the arms are opened.
CONSTITUTION: Eight arms 2 are radially projected from a body 1 of an air frame and have T-shaped tips. Since wings 3 also have a destructive ability, the arms 2 are arranged so that the wings 3 and the ar,s 2 do not overlap each other. The arms 2 are housed using the surface of the body 1. Branch parts at the tips of the arms 2 are arc-shaped corresponding to the shape of the body 1. To increase the length of the branch parts (T-shaped parts) as long as possible, the branch parts are alternately housed in front and rear two stages. The arms 2 are kept housed until the time immediately before the air frame encounters a target. A lock is released just before the encounter and the arms 2 are discharged by springs or a small amount of gunpowder. The arms 2 are supported by hinges and open by receiving a pneumatic force from front.
