Title:
BALLOON FOR ULTRASONIC PROBE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2950128
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To enable the execution of scanning without sliding in the state of holding a flexible membrane member constituting a balloon in tight contact with the inside wall of the celom by bulging this flexible membrane member.
CONSTITUTION: This balloon 20 has the flexible membrane member 21 provided to enclose the front end hard part 11a of an inserting member 11 mounted with an ultrasonic vibrator transducer 13. This membrane member 21 has thin- film parts 21a, 21b for the prescribed length from its parts successively provided with elastic rings 22a, 22b. A toric thick part 21c is formed in its intermediate part to provide an ultrasonic propagation medium and after its thick part 21c expands diametrally to some extent, the thin-film parts 21a, 21b sides bulge. The thin-film part 21a has no more parts bulging forward from the position of the ring 22a when the membrane member 21 is bulged to the front end side and the insertion part 11 is moved. The thin-film part 21b is then able to move to the position where this part bulges toward the have end side from the ring 22a and the scanning of the vibrator 13 is executed.
