PURPOSE: To provide a bamboo canteen which is so hard to be split and facilitates the withdrawing of rice cooked therein and allows the enjoyment of the atmosphere of outdoor cooking to the utmost.

CONSTITUTION: Bamboo is cut by leaving nods 1 at both ends thereof and an opening 2 is formed by cutting out a part between the nods 1 and 1 of the bamboo to make a canteen body 3. The part cut out is made as a lid 4 and a bamboo grip 5 is mounted on the lid 4. The opening 3 is made rectangular when viewed on the plane and cut surfaces 2a and 2b thereof are preferably turned almost vertically to the surface of the body part of the bamboo.
