Abstract:
PURPOSE:To improve reproductivity by eliminating an adverse influence due to the current amplification factor of a bipolar transistor with a part of the output division resistance in a reference voltage circuit as a pinch resistance. CONSTITUTION:In the band gap reference voltage circuit having NPN transistors Q1-Q3 and resistances R1-R14, a third resistance R9 which multiplies the base voltages of the first NPN transistor Q1 and the second NPN transistor Q2 by a constant decided by the rate of the third resistance R9 and a fourth resistance R10 and which outputs them is composed of a diffusion resistance and the pinch resistance that is serially connected to the diffusion resistance. Since the pinch resistance is increased with the increase of the current amplification factor of the NPN transistors, and (R9+R10)/R10 is increased, the decrease of the forward voltage of the NPN transistor Q1 due to the increase of a saturation current can considerably be eliminated. Thus, reproductivity can be improved.
