PURPOSE: To form a bent part with high accuracy so that it has a snake motion shape of a circular or angular shape, etc., by pinch-holding the bent part of a preformed band-like plate, and bending it so that both V-legs become parallel to each other.
CONSTITUTION: A band-like plate 1 is fed in up to a preforming die 15C of a preforming head 9C, preforming head tables 8a, 8b are moved in the X direction, and simultaneously the band-like plate is formed as a band-like plate 1' by moving a preforming head 9b in the Y direction. Subsequently, the table 8a is returned to its original position, the band-like plate 1 is pinch-held, and length is measured as to only a bent pitch portion of one side which is bent like a snake motion in the X direction. The preforming is executed by repeating said state. On the other hand, in a folding device, as for the preformed part, a band-like plate 1' is pinch-held by fold-forming dies of 16a and 16b, a folding bed table 11a is moved in the X direction, simultaneously heads 12a, 12b are rotated by setting turning pins 13a, 13b as each fulcrum, and a band-like plate 1" is formed so that one side becomes parallel. By repeating this operation, snake motion- bending of a band-like plate is executed.
