Abstract:
Paper currency collection and payment apparatus, to pay crisp bills neatly arranged to a customer. Sagging of an end part of the bill A of a direction orthogonally crossing a carrying direction is detected by an optical sensor 11 in process of carrying the bills paid out of a bill storing part in the horizontal direction by a first carrying passage 7. The bills whose stiffness of paper remarkablybecome weak by a long time use, etc. are stored and recovered in a reject bill storing part as a result of the detection.
