PURPOSE: To obtain a bar material housing device that is excellent in facilitating holding and releasing operations and excellent more greatly in capability of holding (strength of blocking) than a conventional holding structure, and also excellent in operability and safety.
CONSTITUTION: A fitting part for being driven into and fitted to a cavity provided at the upper part of a support 2 on one side is formed in dangling to the front end of a blocking bar 5. A holding plate body 6C is slidably provided at a position, overlapping from the base end to the upper part of the fitting part, and a holding part 6D is provided at the support 2 so that the holding plate body 6C moved in sliding to the upper part of the fitting part fitted into the cavity on the upper part of the support 2 can be held therewith. With a strike applied with a striking device to the holding plate body 6C, the holding plate body 6C can be held firmly with the holding part 6D so that the holding plate body cannot be retracted.
