Abstract:
PURPOSE: To suppress the lowering of barrier properties and the close adhesiveness of a coating film even when mechanical external force acts on a barrier film or the barrier film is preserved under a high temp. and high humidity condition.
CONSTITUTION: At least one surface of a base material film composed of polyester or the like is successively covered with an inorg. layer composed of silicon oxide or the like and a coating layer containing a silane coupling agent and a barrier resin (e.g. vinylidene chloride copolymer, an ethylene/vinyl alcohol copolymer) to obtain a barrier composite film. The addition amt. of the silane coupling agent is set to about 0.05-10 pts.wt. per 100 pts.wt. of the barrier resin. A heat-sealing layer may be formed on the coating layer or the other surface of the base material film. This barrier composite film is high in transparency and can keep high gas barrier properties and the close adhesiveness of the coating film over a long period of time even if the coating film is thin.
