Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a base for coating a solid enteric pharmaceutical preparation at a dissolution pH within the range of 3-4.
CONSTITUTION: This base for coating a solid enteric pharmaceutical preparation is cellulose acetate maleates obtained by substituting a water-soluble cellulosic derivative with 0.25-0.5 acetyl group and 0.35-0.6 maleyl group based on one glucose ring. The dissolution pH of the cellulose acetate maleates is within the range of 3-4.
