PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the relation between the deformation amount and the restoration force of a spring in a sign curve so as to bring a condition such that the spring does not have a natural frequency, while simplifying the structure of a base-isolating device equipped with a restoration function.
SOLUTION: The base-isolating device 1 comprises a base 2, a lower table 3 supported on the base 2 so as to be movable in one horizontal direction relatively to the base 2, an upper table 4 supported on the lower table 3 so as to be horizontally movable in a direction intersecting the above one direction relatively to the lower table 3, and springs 5, 6 which are respectively extended between the base 2 and the lower table 3 and between the lower table 3 and the upper table 4 and which expand to exercise restoration force when relative displacement arises both between the base 2 and the lower table 3 and between the lower table 3 and the upper table 4.
