Abstract:
To provide a base paper for a release paper, when used as a pressure sensitive adhesive label, imparting improved transparency in the pressure sensitive adhesive label without using a polyolefin laminate.SOLUTION: A base paper for release paper includes a substrate, a coat layer 1, and a coat layer 2 arranged in this order, wherein a content mass ratio of a hardwood pulp in a pulp used in the substrate is 50 mass% or over, a beating degree of the pulp used in the substrate is 30° SR or over, the coat layer 1 includes a resin, and the coat layer 2 includes a clay and a binder resin.SELECTED DRAWING: None
