Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3550965
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure satisfactory clearer color reproducibility and color forming property at the time of forming a full-color image by incorporating a treated pigment specified in the constitution and a bonding resin.
SOLUTION: The base particles of a toner for developing an electrostatic charge image contains a treated pigment and a bonding resin. The treated pigment is obtd. by heating and mixing an aq. paste of an org. pigment, a resin which is solid at ordinary temp. and rosin as a dispersing aid and then removing the water. The aq. paste has about 20-50% solid content and is obtd. by adding water, etc., to a formed pigment and purifying the pigment by the repetition of washing and filtration. The org. pigment may be any water- insoluble org. pigment. A colorless transparent resin is suitable for use as the resin which is solid at ordinary temp., that is, and usable for flashing in consideration of the transparency of an image.
