Title:
BASE PLATE OF MOVING SIDEWALK CAPABLE OF CHANGING SPEED
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH0881169
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a safe moving sidewalk capable of changing its speed by taking thin plates as assembling elements, parallely arranging many assembling elements by making the clearance between the assembling elements wider than the thickness of the assembling element, fixing both ends to a crosspiece into one base plate, and alternately incorporating them and flexible plates having the same shape as the assembling element.

CONSTITUTION: An assembling element 1 of a base plate 1a to serve as a riding surface of a moving sidewalk is formed by a long thin plate having the thickness of 3 to 5mm, the width of 2 to 2cm, and the length of about 40cm by using metallic materials. This assembling element 1a is horizontally placed, and the clearance 7 between the assembling elements 1a is made wider than the thickness of the assembling element 1a, and many assembling elements are parallely arranged into a lattice shape, and the back side is fixed by plate-like crosspieces 3, 3' so as to form the base plate. Moreover, the assembling element having the same shape as the assembling element 1a is fixed by the crosspieces 4, 4', so as to form a flexible plate. Respective assembling elements of the flexible plate intersect to each other between respective assembling elements 1a of the base plate, and the crosspiece 4' of the flexible plate is positioned inside the crosspiece 3' of the base plate, thereby, the flexible base plate 8 suitable for a moving plate is obtained.
