To provide a base sheet for stencil printing for easily obtaining a beautiful image quality without necessity of a skill.

The base sheet 1 for stencil printing is obtained by laminating a stencil base sheet 2 and a file 3 with an adhesive layer 4. The sheet 2 has an ink passable 5 and a heatsensitive resin film 6. The file 3 is obtained by forming a file surface made of fine irregularities 8 (many fine protrusions and recesses) by processing the surface of a sheet 7. The irregularities 8 have a truncated triangular conical sections, and can be formed of a mold or engraving. Since the vertex of the protrusion 8 is flat, the film 6 of the sheet 2 is not perforated by the irregularities 8 of the file 3 by a pressure of the degree of attaching a hand on the sheet 2 so that a mark of the hand is not formed. A desired image is drawn by a writing instrument having an end of a predetermined hardness on the support 5. The film 6 is perforated by pressing it to the irregularities 8 of the file 3. The stencilbase sheet 2 is released from the file 3 and circulated to a printing step.
