Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal plate treated with aqueous two-layer coats that has good conductivity and has excellent adhesion, black discoloration resistance, alkali degreasing resistance and long-lasting corrosion resistance.SOLUTION: The metal plate treated with aqueous two-layer coats is a metal plate having two-layer thin films laminated on at least one surface of the metal plate. The metal plate has an inorganic rich layer having a film thickness of 0.01 to 0.1 μm which is formed from a first aqueous composition containing 60 to 80 pts. of colloidal silica having an average particle size of 4 to 15 nm, 20 to 40 pts. of a carboxylic group-containing polyurethane resin, 7.5 to 20 pts., based on 100 pts. of the total of the colloidal silica and the carboxyl group-containing polyurethane resin, of a silane coupling agent having a glycidoxy group at a terminal and containing no lithium-based inorganic compound, a phosphoric acid compound nor any metal component other than lithium and an organic rich layer having a film thickness of 0.2 to 0.5 μm which is formed from a second aqueous composition including an organic resin on the inorganic rich layer in which the total film thickness of the inorganic rich layer and the organic rich layer is 0.25 to 0.6 μm.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
