Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a bat which generates no variation in sound not only during the production period but also in the prolonged use by applying an adhesive agent or a hot melt adhesive onto an internal wall of a hollow part. CONSTITUTION: An adhesive agent 4 or a hot melt adhesive 9 is applied onto a hollow part 2 of a bat body 1. The adhesive agent 4 or the hot melt adhesive 9 can be applied at an arbitrary position of the internal wall 3 of the hollow part 2, but preferably, applied at a part where the internal wall 3 crosses the center axis in the longitudinal direction of a bat or at a position symmetrical to the center axis. With such an arrangement, a foreign matter causing a variation in sound, for example, chips, ground dusts, or burrs of a resin generated at the hollow part 2 are adsorbed or occluded, thereby eliminating possible variation in sounds. In the case of the hot melt adhesive, if any variation in sound is generated, the applied part of the adhesive is heated to be softened to adsorb or occlude the foreign matter and the foreign matter is fastened on the internal wall 3 of the hollow part 2 by cooling, thereby eliminating the variation in sound.
