To perform proper kneading control reconciling both of the mixing and dispersion of a material to be kneaded by efficiently taking the balance of the mixing and dispersion of the material to be kneaded by a kneading rotor.
In the kneading rotors 4,4 of a batchwise kneader having a plurality of kneading blades 12-15 which are inserted in a kneading chamber 2 in a freely rotatable manner so as to form tip clearances between the top parts of the kneading blades 12-15 and the inner surface of the kneading chamber 2 and passing the material to be kneaded through the tip clearances to apply shearing force thereto, a plurality of the kneading blades 12-15 are constituted of non-linear blades 13 wherein the developed shape from a start point P to an end point Q formed by developing the kneading rotors 4 around the axes thereof in a planar state becomes substantially non-linear and other linear blades 12,14,15 wherein the developed shape is linear and the twist angle with respect to the axes of the rotors is set to 15-35°.
