Abstract:

To safely elevate/lower a pedestal for comfortable use.

In this bathing lift 38, a person on a pedestal 4 is put in/out of hot water by elevating/lowering the pedestal 4 in a bath tub 8. An abutting body 21 to detect an obstacle in contact therewith is provided at least on one side end face of the pedestal 4, and a safety function 4 to control the movement of the pedestal 4 by the detection is provided, and when the abutting body 21 detects an obstacle while the pedestal 4 descends, of the descending motion the pedestal 4 is urgently stopped, and also it is stopped after elevated to a specified height at the same time.
